Stephane Massa

Stephane Massa uses a very unique style to incoorporate typography with photography. The way in which the two photo's are merged enables the image to be interpreted in a way unlike others. This technique also relates slightly to how layering works, as it enables both images to be shown, adding extra detail to the single shot that they were before. The images Massa uses tend to be landscapes of the natural world, which therefore represts the evolution of different landscapes, and uses the typography to link them all together. I intend to create a series of images much like Stephane Massa's, in order to broaden the sense of narrative that can be portrayed through a photo.

Narrative photography is the idea that photographs can be used to tell a story. Allen Feldman stated that "the event is not what happens. The event is that which can be narrated" ~ Wikipedia
